History
Antech Labs was established in 1974 to design and manufacture communications antennas for the amateur and commercial radio marketplaces. The antenna products Antech designed and sold were well received by our customers.
Introduction into the professional audio-video market began later that year, when we received a contract to design and install a professional discotheque sound and lighting system for the St. Louis Airport Marriott Hotel. Following this original installation, thirty-seven additional custom systems were installed nation-wide, placing Antech solidly into the professional audio-video market by 1975.
By 1979, Antech expanded it’s facility by adding a large professional showroom, multi-track recording studio demonstration area, offices and an expanded service shop. Antech was the only facility in the United States to display and stock the entire line of JBL Professional Studio Monitors.
Antech outgrew our Webster Groves facility and in 1983, we moved to Creve Coeur. Our new location had a large showroom supporting both residential and professional products. A larger service shop was added with seven certified technicians performing repairs to almost all electronic products, including speaker reconing.
Professional product lines were added at the time including Ampex, Harrison, UREI, Neumann, AKG, AMX, Sony Professional, and many others. Our high-quality residential products included McIntosh Laboratory, Bang and Olufsen, Denon, Teac and Technics.
The decision was made in 1992 to close Antech’s residential products showroom, allowing Antech to concentrate exclusively on professional AV products and services. Our facility moved to Sunnen Business Park in Maplewood, Missouri where we are located today.
Our services include: Design-build, consulting, and system Repair. We interface with architects, engineers and end users. The product lines we represent include AMX, AutoPatch, Kramer Electronics / Sierra Video, Lutron Lighting and Shading systems, Shure, Polycom, Tandberg, TV One, Analog Way, JBL Professional, Crown Audio, Middle Atlantic, Lowell, Yamaha, and many others.
